Kevin P. Gard, 61, of De Soto died June 16, 2022, in De Soto. Mr. Gard was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Born June 10, 1961, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine (Mier) Gard.
He is survived by his companion: Tammy Caine, and her parents: Gary and Laura Steward; a son: Levi Charles Gard; a stepdaughter: Bethany Caine; three siblings: Krestel (Mark) Driscoll of St. Charles, Twilia (John) Phillips of Gans, Okla., and Shawn (Sherri) Gard of Gans, Okla.; a sister-in-law: Amy (Keli Keener) Steward; a dear cousin: Barbara Kniest; four grandchildren: Evan, Ian, Elizabeth and Ivan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at First Assembly of God Church, 12635 Hwy. 21, in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Derek Jones. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
