Kevin M. Skaggs, 66, of De Soto died Nov. 30, 2020, in De Soto. Mr. Skaggs managed a Pogolino’s restaurant for many years and then worked for the old Hamel & Rowe hardware store in De Soto. After retiring from Chrysler, he returned to Hamel & Rowe, and most recently he worked at Hopson Lumber Co. in De Soto. He was a member of the Twin City Church of Christ in Festus
Born Aug. 20, 1954, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Arthur B. Skaggs and Juanita Fay (Wigger) Skaggs Hallmark. He also was preceded in death by his stepfather: Bob Hallmark.
He is survived by his wife: Nancy (King) Skaggs of De Soto; two children: Brandon Skaggs of Chicago, Ill., and Shannon Skaggs of De Soto; his mother-in-law: Bernieth King of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law: Cary Skaggs of Virginia; and a brother-in-law: Henry Iddings of Virginia.
He also was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Arthur King; a brother Terry Skaggs; and a sister: Janet Iddings.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 6) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Patrick Adam. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
