Kent R. Huskey, 55, of Festus died May 17, 2019, at his home. Mr. Huskey was the owner/operator of Huskey Bus and Transportation in Festus. He also was a member of Elks 1721 in Crystal City, United Motorcoach Association, Midwest Bus and Motorcoach Association, Missouri School Bus Contractors Association, Trailways Transportation System and the National and Missouri Cattle associations. Born March 8, 1964, in Crystal City, he was the son of Mary “Joyce” (Charleville) Huskey of Crystal City and the late Owen “Karl” Huskey.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Julie (Courtois) Huskey; two daughters: Katie (Ryan) Brunner of Festus and Mollie (Nick) Pruneau of Festus; three grandchildren: Owen Brunner, Ella Rose Pruneau, Dallas Brunner, and three on the way; one sister: Karla (Kevin) Dennis of Festus; one nephew: Kyle Dennis of Festus; and his parents-in-law: Geneva and Carl Courtois.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main Street, in Festus. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Terry Crank. Burial will be at a later date at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.
