Kenneth L. Haynes, 86, of House Springs died Dec. 15, 2017, at St. Andrews at Francis Place in Eureka. Mr. Haynes enjoyed dirt track racing, hunting, Cardinals baseball, John Wayne movies and playing pool. He was born July 13, 1931, in South Grove, Ill., the son of the late Melvin and Mittie (Stratton) Haynes. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty (McKinney) Haynes.
He also is survived by five children: Judi (Kevin) Paquet of High Ridge, Jan (Mike) Poor of House Springs, Kenny Haynes of De Soto, Danny (Karen) Haynes of Byrnes Mill and Becky (Jon) Powell of Byrnes Mill; 10 grandchildren: Stacey (Mike) Herget, Greg Ronzio, Bradley Paquet, Rick (Amber) Horton, Luke Powell and Troy, Corey, Alyssa and Kyle Haynes; five great-grandchildren: Andy, Cameron, Gage, Reese and Londyn; five siblings: Lucille Springer of Missouri and Lugene Smith, Cecil Haynes, RL Haynes and Sheila Hinson, all of Arkansas; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Harvey Haynes, Marcella Milligan, Ozella Green and Ruthie Ball.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the funeral home. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 63132. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
