Kenneth Gordon Affolder, 80, of Sullivan died June 21, 2020 in Sullivan. Mr. Affolder was a member of Concrete Masons Local 572. He enjoyed farming and had a passion for woodworking. Born Nov. 29, 1939 in Dudley, he was the son of the late Ralph and Rachel Leola (Walker) Affolder. He was preceded in death by his wife: Yvonne Affolder, his parents, his great grandmother, Octavia Walker, his grandmother, Cordia Walker and one (1) brother, Richard Affolder.
He is survived by three children: Renee Jones of Byrnes Mill, Phyllis (Jeff) Rogers of Zalma and Anthony Affolder of Sullivan; nine grandchildren: Andrew (Whitney) Jones, Jacob (Jessica) Jones, Jennifer (Jimmy) Parsley, Michael (Nicole) Lizbenbee, Ashley (Glenn) Rodgers, Kyle (Christy) Rogers, Kellie Affolder, Alex Affolder and Tasha (Justin) Rose; 17 great-grandchildren: Logan, Lauren, Landen, Jacey, Mason, Kelbey, Lucas, Leah, Gunner, Brady, Hudson, Bella, Briar, Dylan, Braden, Allysa and Alexis; one great-great-grandchild: Epsen;
two brothers: Randall Affolder and Robert Affolder, both of Michigan; and numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother: Octavia Walker; his grandmother: Cordia Walker; and a brother: Richard Affolder.
Visitation is at 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
