Kenneth E. “Ken” Schwalbert, 78, of Imperial died April 29, 2018. Mr. Schwalbert worked as an operating engineer for the Essex Construction Co. for many years. He was born Sept. 8, 1939, in St. Louis, the son of the late Dorthea and Leonard Schwalbert.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Schwalbert; a daughter: Sandra (Steve) Miller; two brothers: Jim (Marianne) Schwalbert and Dean (Kathy) Schwalbert; and two grandchildren: Kenny Schwalbert and Brooke Schwalbert.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Terry Schwalbert; a son: Kenneth “John” Schwalbert; and a sister: Sally Harry.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd, in Arnold, followed by a committal service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
