Kathleen Mae Barebo, 90, of rural Festus died Dec. 20, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Barebo was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed listening to his music and collecting memorabilia. Her greatest joy, however, came from the time she spent with her family. She was born Feb. 21, 1930, in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Flynn and Jewell (Brinkley) McFadden. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert J. Barebo.
She is survived by a daughter: Debbie (Kenny) Miller of Festus; three grandchildren: Eddie Myers of De Soto, Becky Myers of Bonne Terre and Michael (Abby) Miller of DeSoto; a sister: Dora Myers of St. Louis; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four sons: Edward Myers, James Myers, Charlie Myers and Danny Myers; four brothers, Hiram McFadden, Bill McFadden, Ottis McFadden and Ulus McFadden; and two sisters: Jane Henderson and Melba Myers.
Visitation is at noon and a funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Brother Bob Thebeau. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County NextStep for Life Foundation, PO Box 97, Mapaville, 63065.
