Kathleen M. (Johnson) Gerber, 84, of De Soto died May 6, 2021, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Ms. Gerber was a homemaker. Born March 9, 1937, in Fletcher, she was the daughter of the late Claude Edgar “Pete” and Sara Alice (Gamble) Johnson.
She is survived by a sister: Anna Lee Johnson of De Soto; two sisters-in-law: Hilda Johnson of Dittmer and Barbara A. Johnson of De Soto; a niece: Elaine Sue Johnson of Dittmer; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by six brothers: Edgar “Ed” Johnson, Delmar “Whip” Johnson, David Johnson, James “Jim” Johnson, Harold “John” Johnson and Ronald “Redeye” Johnson; and three sisters-in-law: Barbara Johnson, Dorothy Johnson and Marilyn Johnson.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, in the Thebeau Cemetery in Fletcher. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
