Katherine Faye Courtois, 71, of Barnhart died Jan. 27, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Courtois worked as a laborer for Clean City Squared. She enjoyed painting, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, baking and most of all spending time with her family. Born June 6, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Stubblefield) and Edward Paul Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Courtois.
She is survived by two sons: Edward Paul (Laura) Courtois of Blackwell and Jason S. Courtois of Barnhart; two brothers: Steve Andrea Edwards of Arnold and Joey Buckley of Pevely; a sister: Debbie (Rob) Ray of Pevely; five grandchildren: Kyle, Ashley, Caleb, Anna-Belle and Kirstyn; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Edwards.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Friday, Feb. 4, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Potosi. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
