Hahn, Karen

Karen Louise Hahn, 63, of Olympian Village died Jan. 6, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Hahn graduated high school and attended business college, but chose the role of homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church of Festus, where she served as a deacon, and was a passionate supporter of Guide Dogs of America. She enjoyed crafting, painting, doing Stamp It Up projects and spending time with family and friends. Born Jan. 4, 1959, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Fred J. and Jenny M. (Margiotta) Linnenbrink Jr.

She is survived by her husband: Michael A. Hahn of Olympian Village; a son: Michael A. Hahn Jr. of De Soto; a daughter: Jeannie Dierks of De Soto; three brothers: Ron (Katie) Linnenbrink of Washington, Fred Linnenbrink of Bunker Hill, Ill., and John (Jennifer) Linnenbrink of Wentzville; a sister: Tina Casper of Jerseyville, Ill.; a sister-in-law: Robin Linnenbrink of De Soto; four grandchildren: Clayton Dierks, Mason Dierks, Alba Richardson and Jaden Hahn; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Jerome Linnenbrink.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Lari Grubbs. Burial will follow in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Guide Dogs of America, 13445 Glenoaks Blvd., Sylmar, CA 91342. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
