Karen I. Burris, 65, of De Soto died Nov. 30, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. Burris was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society and First Baptist Church in De Soto. She enjoyed making crafts and sewing. Born Nov. 24, 1952, in Tacoma, Wash., she was the daughter of the late Janice (Pfeiffer) and John Burris.
She is survived by a son: David Joshua Buchanan of St. Louis; a daughter: Rebecca Kay Buchanan of Creve Coeur, a sister: Linda (Frank) Menendez of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren: Colin and Kendall Heidermann.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
