June C. Markland, 95, of Imperial died Jan. 6, 2023, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Markland was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Barnhart. Born June 19, 1927, in Gideon, she was the daughter of the late Stella (Launis) and Thomas Clack. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles W. Markland.
She is survived by a son: Thomas Markland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother: A.D. (the late Maridell) Clack.
Visitation is schedulked from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
