Julie A. Ponder, 77, of Arnold died Nov. 11, 2022. Ms. Ponder was retired from Delmar Gardens, where she worked with Alzheimer's patients. She was a devoted Christian and animal lover and enjoyed arts, crafts, gardening and spending time with her family. Born Aug. 17, 1945, in Fresno, Calif., she was the daughter of the late William and Betty (Martin) McKinney.
She is survived by four children: Adrianne (Wayne) Elrod, Danielle (Eran) Atchison, Courtney (George) Craft, Matthew (Julie) Ponder; a sister: Judy Roach; nine grandchildren: Krystal Proctor, Jordan Taylor, Katelyn Sulya, Austin Atchison, Elijah Craft, Isaiah Craft, Logan Atchison, Max Ponder and Dustin Fischer; two great-grandchildren: Nora and James Proctor; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son: Richard Daniels.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at The Crossing at Grant's Trail, 276O Union Road, in St. Louis County. Burial is in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
