Julia A. “Judy” Boyer, 84, of Festus died Dec. 18, 2018. Mrs. Boyer was a cook for the Festus R-6 School District, president for the Arnold Eagles and also worked for National Graphics. She loved her children and grandchildren, casino trips, crocheting, sewing, crossword puzzles, yearly vacations with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, and playing the organ, especially during at Christmas, her favorite holiday. Born June 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Clara (Clark) and James Andrew Riley.

She was preceded in death by her husband: George R. Boyer.

She is survived by two children: Deborah (Lester “Bub”) Johnson and Richard “Batman” (Shari) Boyer; five grandchildren: Rene (David) Perry, Jamie (Kevin) Russell, Amie (Andrew) Jackson, Jennifer Boyer and Bryan (Rachel) Fitzgerald; 16 great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Eric) and Tyler (Cate) Perry, Logan, Laythan and Marcus Russell, Nathan, Hayden, Madison and Aubrey Jackson, Jasmine Boyer, Trevon and Thaddius Ballinger, Journey Williams, and Justice, Carizma and Luke Fitzgerald; a great-great-grandson: Liam Perry; and two sisters: Audia Riley Meunier and Clara Riley.

She was preceded in death by five siblings: Ed Riley, Chuck Riley, Bill Riley, Helen Riley Fosko and Betty Riley Shelton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Funeral service will be at noon Friday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
