Judson Lee “Jud” Ray, 43, of De Soto died March 3, 2022, in De Soto. Mr. Ray was born April 2, 1978, in Crystal City, the son of Violet (Owens) Ray of De Soto and the late Everett A. Ray Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Jodi (Courtois) Ray of De Soto; two children: Brittany (Jacob) Middleton and Abbagail “Abby” Ray, both of De Soto; a dear friend: Delanie “Crash” Evans of De Soto; seven siblings: Lester Whitehead of Pevely, Tina (Steve) Roberds of De Soto, Ann (James) Hammond of Mineral Point, Everett A. (Debbie) Ray Jr. of De Soto, Patty (Joe) Maness of De Soto, Kenny (Joan) Ray of Ste. Genevieve and Kathy (Tim) Maxwell of Caledonia; and one grandchild: Axel Middleton.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the funeral home, officiated by Carl Courtois. Burial is in the Sandy Baptist Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to Mercy Burn Center, 615 South New Ballas Road, St. Louis, 63141; or to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, 63110. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
