Judith Vernell Roach, 77, of Arnold died Dec. 19, 2022. Ms. Roach was retired from Delmar Gardens. She was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors and riding her horse. She loved spending time with her family. She was born Aug. 17, 1945, in Fresno, Calif., the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Martin) McKinney.
She is survived by four children: Julie (Steve Whaley) Placke, Chris (Dana) Sloan, Michelle (the late David) Rushing and Rachel (Jacquie) Roach; three grandchildren: Richard (Stacia) Placke, Nick Rushing and Brittany Rushing; and four great-grandchildren: Landyn Placke, Audrey Placke, Easton Armstrong and Ravenna Roach. She was preceded in death by a sister: Julie Ponder.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at The Crossing of Fenton, 1800 Bowles Ave., in Fenton. Following the service, the family invites guests to join them for light refreshments in the lobby. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
