Judith Maria Edwards, 75, of Carrollton, formerly of Festus, died June 11, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Ms. Edwards was retired from Dieterich Public School where she taught third grade. Born July 27, 1946, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Bernice Eleanor (Otto) and Dmytro Alexander Borusiewich. She was preceded in death by her husband: Carlos Dewitt Edwards, who died in 2015.
She is survived by a son: Charles (Emilie) Edwards IV of St. Louis; a daughter: Chana (Travis) Wilson of Columbia; two brothers: Nicholas (MaryLou) Borusiewich of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Daniel (the late Allis) Borusiewich of Festus; a sister: Gale (Jerry) Myers of St. Louis; and three grandchildren: Madalyn Wilson, Charles Edwards V and Claire Edwards.
Visitation is scheduled from 8-9 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. A funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, officiated by Monsignor Hanneke. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Carlos and Judy Edwards M.U. Memorial Scholarship. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
