Judith Gail Basch, 80, of Festus died Jan. 1, 2023. Mrs. Basch graduated from Southwest High School, where she met her husband. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born May 23, 1942, in St Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary and John Dickson.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Roy Basch, whom she married on June 15, 1963.
She is survived by a brother: John (Betty) Dickson Jr.; six children: John Basch, Robert (Cheryl) Basch, Cynthia (Michael Troquille) Brown, Stefanie (Michael) Basch-Bower, Bryant (Shelly) Basch and David Brown; 13 grandchildren: Justin (Laura), Nikki (Trevor), Andrew, Jared, Katie, Juliana, Makenzie and Kaila Basch, Ryan (Kelby), Jeremy (Emily) and Hailey Brown, Ashley (Jeremy) Halbrook and Raymond (Sam) DuFaux; and 10 great-grandchildren: Madysen, Zaiden, Colten, Cooper, Bradley, Jayce, Loralynn, Mason, Parker and Mya.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: George and Marge Basch.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1000 McNutt School Road, in Herculaneum. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
