Joyce Evelyn (Perkins) Sudbeck, 84, of St. Louis County died Jan. 14, 2021. Mrs. Sudbeck was retired from General American as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church choir. She enjoyed singing, spending time with her family, writing short stories about her life and especially being a caring wife. Born in 1936 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elta (Denney) Perkins.
She is survived by her husband: Harold “Buzz” Sudbeck; two children: Steven (Theresa) Sudbeck and Christie Williamson; seven grandchildren: Emily Koenegstein, Rachel (Danny) Breier, Tim (Marcie) Williamson, Martha (Brennon) Sudbeck-Shoemaker, Angie (Dustin) Firestine, David Sudbeck and Ellen Sudbeck; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Perkins; and her best friends: Barbara Moore and Theola Littrell.
Funeral Mass was held Jan. 20 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial was private. Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center in south St. Louis County. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
