Joshua Brown Jr., 67, of St. Ann died Dec. 14, 2019, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton. Mr. Brown was a maintenance worker for Schneider Real Estate in St. Charles and was a member of City of Life Christian Church in St. Louis. He was a hard worker and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who deeply loved the Lord. Born Oct. 22, 1952, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Burks) and Joshua Brown Sr.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Homer) Brown; two sons: Joshua Brown III of St. Ann and Michael Brown of St. Louis; a daughter: Christina M. Brown of Baden; three stepchildren: Karen (the late George) Goubeaux of Maryland Heights, James (Tracy) Conway III of Farmington and Theresa (Donald) Anderson of Lake St. Louis; five siblings: David Brown of St. Charles, Diane Short of Virginia, Isaiah Brown of Virginia, Michael Brown of Virginia and LaGrant Brown of Virginia; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Dec. 21 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Joe Middleton. Burial was in the Herculaneum City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction f Vinyard Funeral Home.
