Josephine Schmidt, 91, of Arnold died May 12, 2020, in Arnold. Mrs. Schmidt was a homemaker. Born July 6, 1928, in Royalton, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Lena (Parini) and Robert Baga.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Theodore C. Schmidt.
She is survived by a son: Theodore Robert “Bob” (Beth) Schmidt of Hillsboro; two daughters: Deborah (Michael) Wyrick of Waterloo, Ill., and Terri (Neil) Phelps of Hillsboro; four grandchildren: Aaron (Tracy) Wyrick, Jeffrey (Crystal) Wyrick, Michelle Eaton and Brian Phelps; nine great-grandchildren: Dustin, Andrew, Carson, Emma, Zachary, Samantha, Bradley, Sadie and Oliver; two great-great-grandsons: Dustin and Emmet; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at the funeral home. Privated burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels program at the Arnold Senior Center, 1695 Missouri State Road, Arnold, 63010.
