Joseph W. DeVoto, 70, of Festus died Oct. 26, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. DeVoto was born Dec. 2, 1949, in St. Louis, the son of the late Janie Carolyn (Martin) and Joseph Louis DeVoto.
He is survived by six children: Joseph DeVoto of Memphis, Tenn., Patricia (John) Hamilton of Memphis, JoEtta Calderon of Lebanon, Mo., Katrina (Nathan) Lingo of Hillsboro, Crystal (Nathan Earle) DeVoto of Barnhart and Dylan (Cheyenne Jones) DeVoto of Nevada, Mo.; a brother: James C. “Sam” DeVoto of De Soto; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece: Jodi Fitzpatrick of Barnhart; a nephew: James DeVoto of Herculaneum; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Tracie DeVoto.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
