Johnny Ray Welch of Robertsville, formerly of Pevely, died April 9, 2017, at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Welch was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 3842 in Pacific and the Freedom Road Riders and enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. Born in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Roberta (McCulley) and Ray Welch.
He is survived by a sister: Karen (John Sr.) Fisher of De Soto; two brothers: Mike Welch and Steve Welch, both of Robertsville; two aunts: Dorothy Haines and Virginia Presnell; an uncle: Howard Welch; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Donald and Tracey Walsch and Freida Bannon and family.
A memorial gathering was held April 17 at Mississippi River Eagles. Memorials may be made to the Kindred Hospital Dialysis Unit. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
