John W. Dunshee, 80, of Cedar Hill died June 7 at his home. Mr. Dunshee was a manager in the automotive industry, and he was devoted to his Christian faith and church. He was smart, resourceful and hard-working. He taught himself to play the guitar and enjoyed playing it and singing. He will be remembered for his integrity and his loving and generous personality, as well as his sense of humor.
Born June 24, 1939, in rural Missouri, he was the son of Margie Dunshee.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Grace (Reynolds) Dunshee; two children: John (Chrissy) Dunshee and Lora (Jim) Claywell; six grandchildren: Ashtyn (Robert) North, Cameron Claywell, Megan (Justin) Selsor, Kaitlin Claywell, Jordan (Teddy) Bjornstad and Jacob Dunshee; two great-grandchildren: Avery and Sophia and another on the way; two sisters: Wanda (Pat) Patterson and Gerry (August) Stough; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Orville (Betty) Dunshee and Delores (Don) Ennis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
