John Tyler Temperato, 30, of Ballwin died May 19, 2022. Mr. Temperato was a fitness trainer at Club Fitness in Festus. A 2010 graduate of St. Pius X High School, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve. He spent his free time with Brittany, his significant other, and their dog, Leo. He enjoyed hiking, history, geopolitics, bodybuilding, music, philosophy, gardening, investing and traveling. Born Dec. 3, 1991, in Festus, he was the son of Deborah and John J. Temperato.

He is survived by his significant other: Brittany Konersman; a brother: Evan Temperato; an uncle and godfather: Jim (Kim) Striler Jr.; an uncle: James “Dobie” (Adrian) Temperato; seven cousins: Daniel and Jimmy Striler III, Sam (Danielle) and Leo Temperato, and Dan (Morgan), Kinley and Isabelle Duepner; and his grandparents: Jim and Erline Striler.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Danny and Nadine Temperato.

Memorial gathering will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, officiated by Father Gregory Klump. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
