John Paul Seeck, 62, De Soto

John Paul Seeck, 62, of De Soto died Aug. 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Seeck was a pipefitter for Plumbers and Pipefitter Local 562. He enjoyed fishing; hunting; working on old tractors and cars; collecting old toys, especially Tonka trucks; taking care of his horses; and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his big heart and generosity. Born July 14, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late John B. and Rose Mary Irene (Nettler) Seeck.

He is survived by his wife: Tamara Renee (Francis) Seeck of De Soto; two sons: John Paul Seeck II of St. Louis and Jacob Allen (Jessica) Seeck of Hillsboro; two granddaughters: Zayda and Lillian Seeck; a bonus granddaughter: Addi Rowden; two sisters: Sandra Leach of De Soto and Debra Seeck of St. Louis; many numerous other family and friends; and his dog: Bruiser.

A memorial gathering will be from 2 p.m. until the memorial service at 5 p.m. Monday (Aug. 30) at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Dan Gulbitz.
