John Michael Pashia, 72, of Blackwell died Nov. 12, 2020, at Mercy Hospital South in St Louis County. Mr. Pashia was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the De Soto Amvets and De Soto VFW post. He enjoyed his time fishing, riding back roads and spending time with family and friends. Born Aug. 18, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Leslie H. and Mary Corrine (Rulo) Pashia.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Larry, Francis, James and Robert Pashia; and five sisters: Babe Harness, Rosie Kemper, Kathleen Hill, Fannie Leas and Patsy Sansoucie.
Visitation is at 9 a.m. and a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Father Alex Anderson. Burial will take place at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses in Mr. Pashia’s honor. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
