John Frederick “Fred” Carron, 76, of Bismarck died Feb. 28, 2015. Mr. Carron started Loana Contractors Inc. in 1970, which he owned and operated until 2005. He retired from Local 513 and raised cattle on his farm. He was a member of St. John the Apostle Church in Bismarck, Immaculate Conception/Knights of Columbus Council11882 and Arcadia Valley Elks Lodge 2330. Born April 13, 1938, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Amos and Ethel (Hewitt) Carron.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Sharon (Miller) Carron; a son: Greg Carron; two grandchildren: Maggie (Josh) Giliberto and Matt Carron; four brothers: Boyd (Babe) Carron, Paul (Judy) Carron, Frank Carron and Mark (Ruth) Carron; two sisters, Chloe (Terry) DeClue and Yvonne (Gene) Beasley; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son: Steve Carron; and a granddaughter: Brianna Carron.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, at St. John the Apostle in Bismarck, officiated by the Rev. Mark S. Ebert assisted by the Rev. Jim French. Burial is in the St. John the Apostle Cemetery in Bismarck. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Immaculate Conception. Arrangements were under the direction of C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
