John A. Ventura, 56, of Elizabeth City, N.C., formerly of Hillsboro, died March 3, 2018, in North Carolina. Mr. Ventura was a manager at Colonial Webb for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Born April 15, 1961, in Missouri, he was the son of Alma (Wisdom) Skaggs of Pevely and the late John V. Ventura.
He is survived by his wife: Terrie Ventura; a daughter: Debra Ventura of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two brothers: Bill Ventura of Pevely and Randy (Joel) Ventura of De Soto; four sisters: Rhonda Ventura of Hillsboro, Dawn Kehoe of Hillsboro, Becky Ventura of Park Hills and Trish Brandle of Festus; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Debra Pinckard.
Mr. Ventura chose to donate his body to cancer research. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
