Joe E. McNeely, 75, of De Soto died Nov. 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. McNeely was a former teacher at De Soto High School and an accountant at SBS. Born June 22, 1945, in El Dorado, Ark., he was the son of the late Julian and Mayvene (Lambert) McNeely.
He is survived by two children: Jarred (Heidi) McNeely of Commerce City, Conn., and Valerie (Benjamin) Nielson of Byrnes Mill; a sister: Susie (Carroll) Sinyard of Russellville, Ark.; and three grandchildren: Zachary Ring, Emmalea McNeely and Elijah McNeely.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Wynona (Joe) Bradley.
Visitation is at 2 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
