Joan Diane Austin, 72, of Festus died Feb. 1, 2018. Mrs. Austin was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Horine. Born Feb. 10, 1945, in Qulin, she was the daughter of the late Mildred (Lewis) and Wilford Lancaster. She is survived by her husband: Charles Junior Austin.
She is survived by a son: Jeff Austin of Festus; a grandson: Tyler (Cassie) Austin of Festus; and two great-granddaughters: Kenadie and Lilly Austin, both of Festus.
She was preceded in death by a son: Kent Austin; and a brother: Michael Lancaster.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the funeral home, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Derry Bowland. Burial will be in Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
