Joan C. Love, 77, of De Soto died Sept. 25, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Love was retired from AT&T and was a homemaker. She attended Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church for 32 years and taught Sunday school for 22 years. She enjoyed volunteering at church, painting, cooking, spending time with family, and sewing and making quilts for various charitable organizations. Born May 10, 1943, in Barnhart, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Norma (Cage) Eisenhauer and stepdaughter of the late Vester “Pee Wee” Wilson.
She is survived by her husband: Elvet Love of De Soto; two sons: David Cooper of Festus and Samuel (Donna) Cooper of Richwoods; two daughters: Lisa (Ken) Welker of Hillsboro and Julie (Denny) Bergstrom of Leavenworth, Kan.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren: and two sisters: Lois (Kenny) Prockl of Clinton, Ark., and Lola (Dennis) Griggs of Potosi.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Irma (Ron) White; and a brother: Jerry Eisenhauer.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor David Evans. Burial will follow in the Belew’s Creek Cemetery in Hillsboro, officiated by Keith Perren. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church Building Fund, 11441 Ware Church Road, Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
