Jim Peyton, 79, of High Ridge died Dec. 1, 2021, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Peyton was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from Chrysler. He enjoyed customizing automobiles, playing guitar, volunteering as an officer with the Civil Air Patrol and various other hobbies. Born Nov. 6, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late John and Leatha (Province) Peyton.
He is survived by his wife: Kathleen (Bragg) Peyton; a brother: Steve (Nancy) Peyton of Mineral Point; two children: Sherri (Todd) Winn and Jerry (Kathy) Peyton, both of Hillsboro; a nephew: Paul (Amanda) Peyton of Mineral Point; four grandchildren: Jeramy Farmar, Kris (Amber) Farmar, Keifer Winn and Dakota (Erika) Winn; and one great-grandchild: Lydia Farmar.
A funeral service was held Dev. 7 at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, officiated by Pastor Steve Wolf. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Ellisville. Arrangements were under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
