Jessie Lee West, 84, of Festus died Aug. 5, 2017, in Festus. Mrs. West was a cook for an assisted living facility. Born Dec. 6, 1932, inSmithville, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Ethel (Rattliff) and Eddie Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband: Stanley West.
She is survived by six sons: Jim (Debbie) West of Ward, Ark., Steve (Jeannie) West of O’Fallon, David (Patricia) West of Wright City, Bobby (Linda) West of Florissant, Jeff (Linda) West of Pacific and Kevin (Destie) West of Paragould, Ark.; five daughters: Melba Love of De Soto, Lisa (Tom) Galczynski of Paragould, Sheila Utnage of Festus, Kathy Van Hoorne of Festus and Sandy (Stanley) Galczynski of Festus; two sisters: Janet (the late Ernie) Kelly of Gerald and Karen (Doug) Williamson of Doniphan; a brother: Ed (the late Shirley) Davis of Park Hills; 38 grandchildren; 103 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons: Donnie West and Rick (Pat) West; a grandson: Joseph Galczynski; and four siblings.
Funeral services were held Aug. 8 at Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County, officiated by John Headrick. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
