Jess John Marler, 34, of De Soto died Feb. 13, 2017, at his home. Mr. Marler was a longtime maintenance worker for the City of Hillsboro. He was born July 3, 1982, in Crystal City, the son of Geneva (Dibella) Travis of De Soto the late Hoil Marler Jr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons: Dylan Joseph Marler of Ellington and Jess John White of High Ridge; three sisters: Mary (Keith) Cowin of Hillsboro, Shannon (Jared) Roscow of Festus and Brandy Johnson of Pevely; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hoil Sr., Daisy, Laura, Herman and Joseph.
A funeral service was held Feb. 17 at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Arrangements were under the direction of the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
