Jerry Lee Waller, 74, of Arnold died Aug. 28, 2022, at the the St. Louis VA Hospital-Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis County. Mr. Waller was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and owned and operated the Dairy Queen restaurant in Arnold from 1988 to 1998. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post 2593. He was born Jan. 16, 1948, in St. Louis, the son of the late Norma L (Edgar) and William O. Waller.
He is survived by his wife: Diane C. (Dummerth) Waller of Arnold; three children: Mark (Karissa) Waller of Arnold, Erin (Erik) DeVore of Barnhart and Stephen (Corin) Waller of Arnold; a sister: Barbara Waller of Arnold; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at St. David Catholic Church, 2334 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold, followed by a luncheon and fellowship. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County.
