Jerry Alvin Calahan, 72, of De Soto died June 26, 2021, at his home. Mr. Calahan worked in recycling for Becker Metals. He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren. Born June 25, 1949, in Red Bud, Ill., he was the son of the late Otto and Alva (Leonard) Calahan.
He is survived by two daughters: Sherri Calahan of De Soto and Lisa Calahan of Farmington; a son: Jerry Olsen of Farmington; two brothers: Robert Calahan and Ralph Calahan, both of Marquand; a sister: Flo Calahan of Farmington; three grandchildren: Ethan, Kaden and De-Anna; and numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
