Jennifer Beth Goode, 46, of De Soto died Dec. 3, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital West in St. Louis County. Mrs. Goode worked for Martin Veterinary Hospital in Herculaneum and, with her husband, owned and operated Goode Life Animal Rescue. Born May 27, 1976, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Arthur G. (Sue) Combs of south St. Louis County and the late Melody Joy (Scharnhorst) Bailey.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband: James E. Goode of De Soto; three children: Nick Paul, Jacob (Shelby) Goode and Avery Goode, all of De Soto; three grandchildren: David, Xavier and Wyatt; a brother: Tom (Kim) Bacon Jr. of Shady Valley; two nieces Miranda and Nadia; a nephew: Tom III; her mother-in-law: Rebecca (the late Charles) Goode of Barnhart; and two sisters-in-law: Denise Goode and Caitlin Goode, both of Barnhart. She was preceded in death by a brother: Kevin Bacon.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a funeral service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec.11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Tom Bacon Jr. Memorials may be made to Goode Life Animal Rescue, c/o Martin Veterinary Hospital, 74 Francois Drive, Herculaneum, 63048.
