Jeffery Brian Masters, 61, of Festus died Feb. 4, 2019, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. Masters was a retired operator with the former LaRoche Chemical Plant south of Festus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Festus. He was born Feb. 24, 1957, in St. Louis, the son of Gloria (Pullen) and John “Jack” Masters of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son: Adrian Mitchell (Angie) Masters of St. Louis; a sister: Teresa (Jamie) Masters Lively of Festus; two nephews: Christopher and Alex Lively; and a niece: Brooke Lively.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Jacqueline “Jackie” (the late Ron) Masters Coleman.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Wesley United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Kayla Roe. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
