Janet Marie Michael, 66, of Victoria died Sept. 24, 2022, at her home. Ms. Michael worked at the De Soto Shoe Factory in the early 1980s. She worked as a Comtrea counselor in De Soto from 2004 to 2008 and then retired as a CNA. Born Oct. 9, 1955, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Coonce) and William Bill Gunnett.
She is survived by three children: Mark Michael, Wesley (Lisa) Michael and Heath (Ashley) Michael; a sister: Beverly Avis of Festus; nine grandchildren: Allie Toolooze of Fenton, Dustin Michael of Olympian Village, Logan Michael and Lani Michael of Festus, Cliffton Portell of Cadet, Levi Michael of Branson, Calvin Michael of Cadet, Cierra Day of Park Hills and Jerimiah Davis of Winfield; and 11 great-grandchildren: Hazel Michael of Grandview, Naomi Tuberville and Marcel Fatimic Jr. of Fenton, Olivia and Mason Michael of Branson, Zeth Day, Meya Hamlett and Ashton Hamlett of Park Hills and Lake, River and Annemae Webb of Park Hills.
She was preceded in death by two children: Heather Michelle Michael and Jamie Ann Davis; and a granddaughter: Harley Michael.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Walther Park, Pavilion 8, in De Soto, officiated by Stuart Ashbrook. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
