James W. Hampton, 67, of Arnold died Jan. 13, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital. Mr. Hampton was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked in information technology. Born June 7, 1954, in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of the late Shirley (Miller) and William Charles Hampton.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon “Kay” (Harris) Hampton; three children: Christopher Hampton of Arnold, Jamie (Michael) Heil of High Ridge and Cheri Hampton of Arnold; and three grandchildren: Caitlin, Grace and Eve. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
