James Travis Barlow, 82, of Cedar Hill died April 25, 2017, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mr. Barlow was a member of the Unity Southern Baptist Church in Hopewell. Born Nov. 25, 1934, in McKenzie, Tenn., he was the son of the late Fred and Verner (Arnold) Barlow.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Ahrens) Barlow; two children: Kathy Jeanne Barlow and James (Ruth) Barlow; two grandchildren: Shannon (Coty) Link and Matthew (fiancee Jessica) Barlow; two brothers: Roy Lee (Betty) Barlow and Harold (Kathy) Barlow; and two sisters: Hazel Hickman and Mary (Buddy Boyd) Hart. He was preceded in death by a sister: Faye Boane.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 1, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Guy Conway. Burial is in the Bonne Terre Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mapaville School for the Severely Disabled. Arrangements were under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home.
