James Terrell Dobbs, 74, of De Soto died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at his home. Mr. Dobbs was a tow boat operator. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Born Feb. 27, 1945, in Biloxi, Miss., he was the son of the late Robert and Novella (Jones) Dobbs.
He is survived by his wife: Wanda (Edmunds) Dobbs of De Soto; two sons: David Dobbs of Florida and James (Katie) Dobbs of Barnhart; a daughter: Laurie (Jerry Rieken) Dobbs of Barnhart; two brothers: Richard (Pam) Dobbs of Georgia, William Dobbs; six grandchildren: Tony, Jordan, Hunter, Landon, Shoni and Sydney; four great-grandchildren: Holden, Jocelyn, Spencer and Jayden.
He also is preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Dobbs.
Funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
