James T. Williams, 72, of De Soto died Oct. 12, 2017, in De Soto. Mr. Williams was an assembler at Chrysler and a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in De Soto. Born March 9, 1945, in Ware, he was the son of the late Marie (Huskey) and Elmer Williams.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Lynn (Harmon) Williams of De Soto; two children: Dennis (Emily) Williams of Ladue and Deborah (Randall) Waymire of De Soto; and six grandchildren: Anthony, Madison, Abigail, Brayden, Liberty and Stella.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Delores Maness, Margie Bouska, Lindell Williams and Leonard Williams.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home, officiated by Brother Wayne Gibson. Memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 1215 Boyd St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
