Naucke, James

James R. Naucke Sr., 64, of Herculaneum died April 30, 2016, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis County. Mr. Naucke was a retired store manager for a variety of businesses in Missouri and Texas. He was a member of the Moolah Shrine Temple in St. Louis and spent much of his time visiting friends, including those in nursing homes. Born March 27, 1952, in St. Louis, he was the son of Mary E. (Palmer) Naucke of Herculaneum and the late William Alfred “Bee” Naucke. He was preceded in death by his wife: Marsha (Moore) Naucke.

He is survived by two sons: James (Michelle) Naucke Jr. of St. Charles and Joshua L. (Aaron Marie) Naucke of Lewisville, Texas; six grandchildren: Dominic, Elizabeth, Ryan and Austin of St. Charles, Rocko of Lewisville and Timothy of Charlotte, NC; two sisters: Darlene (Ronald) Phillips of New Boston and Mary Lynn Naucke of Herculaneum; and a brother: William P. (Leslie) Naucke of Corinth, Miss. He was preceded in death by a son: Jeremy Naucke.

A celebration of life open house is scheduled from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Amvets Post 42, 690 Joachim, in Herculaneum. Memorials may be made to the Amvets Post 42 Memorial Monument Fund, P.O. Box 184, Herculaneum, 63048. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
