James P. “Jimmy Pat” Donnelly Sr., 79, of Herculaneum died March 25, 2018, at his home. Mr. Donnelly was the owner/operator of Donnelly’s Roffler Hairstyling in Herculaneum and a member of the former Assumption Catholic Church in Herculaneum. He was a member of Amvets Post 42 and the Barber’s Union, and had served on the City of Herculaneum’s Planning and Zoning Committee. Born March 20, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Marie Mary (Pirkey) Donnelly Wilson and Patrick Francis “Buster” Donnelly.
He is survived by his wife: Geraldine (Richtberg) Donnelly; two sons: James P. (Tina) Donnelly Jr. of Festus and Timothy W. (Kimberly) Donnelly of Festus; a daughter: Michelle D. (Bob) Leon of Festus; six grandchildren: Ashley (Pat) Davis, Shannon (Johnny) Mitchell, Seth Donnelly, Austin Damkroger USAF, Haley Damkroger and Katherine “Nikki” Donnelly; and five great-grandchildren: Dalton, Emma, Kylee, Beau and Jackson.
He was preceded in death by an infant grandson: Timothy Donnelly.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd, in Pevely. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Jeff Purvis. Burial with full military honors is in the Herculaneum City Cemetery.
