James Michael Withers, 68, of Grubville died Nov. 4, 2022, in Grubville. Mr. Withers was a project manager. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be hunting, gardening or just walking. He loved spending time with family. Born Feb. 15, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, he was the son of the late James Wilfred and Olie Lorene (Crader) Withers.
He is survived by his wife: Donna (Hasenjaeger) Withers; two children: Scott (Debbie) Withers and Jessica (Ed) Lanfer; eight grandchildren: Nathan Kaminski, Ian (Alicia) Reando, BrieAnna Withers, Jonah Reando, Nathaniel Withers, Garrett Withers, Matthew Lanfer and Madison Lanfer; two sisters: Georgia McGee and Judy (Mike) Barkon; many nieces and nephews; along with numerous extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister: Donna Modde.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home, with a graveside service to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
