James Louis “Jim” Buchanan, 82, of Fenton died March 14, 2022, at his home. Mr. Buchanan was a plant manager at a liquor distributor. He was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Blytheville, Ark., the son of the late Pauline (Seymour) and Charles Lesley Buchanan.
He is survived by his wife: Alberta M. (McIntyre) Buchanan of Fenton; a son: Richard “Rick” Buchanan of St. Peters; three grandchildren: Christopher, Timothy and Rachel Buchanan; and a brother: Donald Buchanan of Festus. He was preceded in death by five siblings: Paul, Charles, Robert and Ray Buchanan and Juanita Bird.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the UMCOR The Advance (mark for Ukraine relief), 458 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. Arrangements were under the direction of Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Fenton.
