James Franklin Davis, 65, of Festus died Oct. 16, 2021, at Delmar Gardens in Chesterfield. Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a truck driver. He was a member of Sandy Baptist Church of Hillsboro. Born Dec. 15, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Virginia Sophia (Wiles) and Glen Franklin Davis.
He is survived by two sisters: Deborah (Howell) Scott of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carol (Keith) Duren of Imperial; two brothers: Daniel A. (Gail Holzhausen) Davis of Columbia, Ill., and Douglas (Brenda) Davis of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Nancy (the late George) Hohmann; and a brother: Glen T. Davis.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Sandy Baptist Church, 9331 Sandy Church Road, Hillsboro, immediately followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Jason Sparks. Burial with full military honors will be in Sandy Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
