James Frances Provo, 86, of Arnold died Dec. 2, 2019, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Provo was a production manager and home improvement specialist. He was a member of the Lutheran faith and a member of the German Cultural Society of St. Louis. Born Aug. 10, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late Andrew and Arla Williams Provo.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: April Ries Provo; four children: Monika (Art) Shaw of Arnold, Melinda (Natale) Fiordimondo of St. Louis, Timothy (Mesha) Provo of Sewanee, Tenn., and Elizabeth (Tony) McCulley of South Carolina; two siblings: Thomas Mason and Mel Provo; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven siblings: Andrew Provo, Robert Provo, Richard Provo, John Provo, Margaret Alhders, Clarence Provo and Ronald Provo; and a grandson: Michael C. Meier.
No services will be held. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
